It's a Sunday morning and the weather 's great! Some may be wondering why am I blogging at home on a Sunday morning instead of being in church. Our routine had a little twist beginning of 2010. Since James started Primary 1 this year, I felt that my life needed to take a change. I realized that routines and habits for our family needed to undergo some transformation to create an environment that is supportive of a boy who just went into formal school. I have come up with a list of the little sacrifices and some of the outcomes of it:
1. Church Day - we have been attending Saturday Church Service for the last 2 months. Not only to respond to the church' request but it is also better for the family. Rich and I now have one day a week to sleep in a bit (that is if the boys don't wake us up early). It has also become a time for the four of us to cuddle in bed sharing events and jokes. I have also made it a routine to teach the boys and do their homeworks. And the rest of the day is free and easy.
2. Week Nights - it's usually study time from 8-9pm. No more going out to unwind anytime we want to. Gone are those days.....
Welcome to my cozy corner where I share my thoughts and reflections, hobbies, family activities, on doing my bit to save gaia, my victories and defeats... Please feel free to leave your comments and enjoy your visit:)

To Be Like YOU...
Lord,
help me
to be like you.
Kind and gentle
in every way.
Amen.
I seem to be getting upset a lot these days. Over people, situation, kids, and anything minor. I've become sensitive to people's comments and remarks. I come home asking myself how did I react the way I reacted to a situation? Enlighten me Lord....

HAPPY & SAD....
Sad... coz it marks the first month of the passing away of my dear brother-in-law...Bonny. He has impacted our family so much that even I could feel that emptiness knowing he will not be around on family gatherings anymore. I feel so sad for Richard who lost his brother so soon, and for my boys who cannot enjoy their funny Uncle anymore. They so looked forward to his visits....and presents.:) We miss you Bonny...

Happy.... for my sister who celebrates her birthday tomorrow. She is one superwoman...a loving mom to her 3 little ones, a supportive wife, a loyal sister and daughter and a good friend....one amazing lady.

Finished It!
It's been sometime since I posted. Been so preoccupied with work, kids and housework. But I have come with progress, I have finished my Wedding Day stitch and have been working on another one that I have neglected for so long.
This was finished before Mother's day and am still looking for a frame that is perfect for it. Will bring it with me to Perth to personally hand it to hubby's niece. Will take another photo of it once it's framed.

Mothers' Day Dinner
Just a quiet family dinner for us on Mothers' Day.
So I cooked this for everyone's liking.

This was drawn by ds1 for his mother's day card. It's supposed to be "Me".

More from his card. Letter A according to him represents my name. His handwriting needs improvement so I'll just translate for him...hahahaha! It says "Happy Mothers' day! I love you mother."

God Is Love
Did this project when my family went through a major transition. It's been almost 4 years now but I can still remember the difficulties we were faced with at that point in time. This project brought me a lot of comfort as I looked forward to stitching it each day.
