Finished It!

It's been sometime since I posted. Been so preoccupied with work, kids and housework. But I have come with progress, I have finished my Wedding Day stitch and have been working on another one that I have neglected for so long.

This was finished before Mother's day and am still looking for a frame that is perfect for it. Will bring it with me to Perth to personally hand it to hubby's niece. Will take another photo of it once it's framed.

Mothers' Day Dinner

Just a quiet family dinner for us on Mothers' Day. Photobucket
So I cooked this for everyone's liking.

This was drawn by ds1 for his mother's day card. It's supposed to be "Me".

More from his card. Letter A according to him represents my name. His handwriting needs improvement so I'll just translate for him...hahahaha! It says "Happy Mothers' day! I love you mother."

God Is Love

Did this project when my family went through a major transition. It's been almost 4 years now but I can still remember the difficulties we were faced with at that point in time. This project brought me a lot of comfort as I looked forward to stitching it each day.

Baked on a Wednesday Afternoon

I have not baked since my house-help went back early this year and my boys have been asking me to bake their favourite choco chip oatmeal cookies. I have been missing baking and was feeling so sad for my boys, so....I finally did it last Wednesday.
Photobucket
This batch of plain oatmeal cookies went to my nanny's husband who just came out from the hospital.

Photobucket
And this was for my family.

Photobucket
My boys didn't even give me a chance to take a picture of the full plate of cookies.

Photobucket
And this is what happened in less than 5 minutes!

Photobucket
My dear hubby came home from a meeting and had his share of it with his coffee while reading his Bible.

I transferred it into containers, and it has all been eaten up...container after container...

Fast Cooking

Monday is my busiest day of the week. Having to catch up with housework after all the mess made by my 2 boys during the weekend, laundry, ironing and sending them to their phonics and reading classes at different timings. Dinner on Mondays are always simple coz I am not able to spend enough time planning and cooking. So...this is what I cooked for dinner.

It's so easy and fast to cook, and it's very cheesy. My boys love it.

Getting The Hang of It!

I slept at 1 a.m last night. Spent most of the night trying to do up my blog and did experiments on it. I guess I'm getting the hang of it. This blog was actually created in 2007 but never really had the drive to learn how to do it. Been following an online friend's blog the last 2 years that inspired me to create my own. And it took me this long to officially start mine. Guess I better start taking nice photos to share too.

James' Song

Didn't have to go to work today coz it's Good Friday! Got to sleep in a little bit. Was forced to get out of bed by my 5 year old James telling me he wanted to write his own song for Easter. He went on to say that his dad can share it to the congregation on Easter Sunday so everyone will believe in Jesus.

While having coffee with hubby on the dining table, James joined us and started writing his own lyrics to the tune of "Jesus Loves Me". Helped him out with his spelling as he writes and sings out loud every word he writes down. After 35 minutes, he came up with this:

Jesus died for our sins
So that we can be free
Now we are free at last
Jesus is so good to us.

This is an indication of his understanding of Christ and His death on the cross, and an encouragement for us that all these years of teaching my kids is slowly paying off.

You Are My All In All

Taught "You Are My All In All" to the children during morning assembly yesterday. I chose this as I think it is appropriate for the coming Easter Sunday. I prayed as I was on the bus on my way to work that not only the kids will be receptive of the message of the song but the teachers too.

Though time was running out, after teaching the kids the song and the actions, I continued with the Easter story. Was greatly moved when one of my 3 year old student started to tear as I was telling them how Jesus was punished for sins He did not commit. Of how much He suffered to give us hope and a "new life".
